CARE SHEET TIPS

• males - don´t put together more males, they are territorial.
• feeding time - not recommended at the morning when lizards bodies are still cold and they are less active.
• lighting - 10 - 12 hours a day.
• UV-B lighting - depending on type of source. Some lamps are very strong, check instruction manual before!!! In these lamps 2 hours can be enough.
• handling - crotaphytus collaris don´t like to by handled, if so, try him to hold (he is staying at your hand), not to grab (you are holding him with fingers).
• clean hands - very important. Always clean your hands before and after working with terrarium or with lizards. Crotaphytus collaris can get many diseases and infections. Having more than one terrarium, always clean your hands after moving from one to another. This wil prevent to spread diseases. Prevention is alway easier and cheaper than healing!
